Many times I have watched the men drag the lake. They arrive early in the morning, on trucks with dragging tires, wearily casting their lights over the water. Depending upon the time of year, it may be too dark still to sense the lay of the ground, the depth of the water; this time, June time, theyve caught the sun just as it is swaying in. The motorboats are turned rear-first and presented to the water.
